Stephen Nelson led Hyperion Media’s production operations, finance, and strategic partnerships during a pivotal decade of growth. As Director of Operations, he oversaw a portfolio of 30+ film and television projects, managing everything from slate financing and legal diligence to post-production workflows and investor reporting.
He played a key role in structuring over $50 million in production financing and managed full-cycle budgets exceeding $1 million annually across multiple entities. A seasoned production executive, Stephen built and maintained a proprietary FileMaker Pro system that unified accounting, HR, and contract management processes across Hyperion’s slate.
He also served as Line Producer on the feature documentary “The Heroes Project” and Associate Producer on the indie comedy “It Happened in L.A.” Prior to joining Hyperion, he worked on several independent features including the period drama “Silent Life,” bringing expertise in production scheduling, budgeting, and team leadership.
